Local Incentives

Humphreys County offers a Payment in Lieu of Tax (PILOT) program which could qualify industries for tax breaks in lieu of ad valorem taxes. Terms are decided by the Humphreys County Industrial Board based on the industry's economic needs and considerations.


 


 

State Incentives

The State of Tennessee offers incentives to businesses looking to expand or relocate here through tax incentives, services and financial programs offered to the industry.

  • Tennessee Army National Guard Education
    The Tennessee Army National Guard Education Services Team strives to provide outstanding service and a clear understanding of the continuing education benefits available to our Soldiers and their families. 

  • Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA)
    TVA offers financial and technical services to industries looking to relocate or grow.

  • Meriwether Lewis Electric Cooperative (MLEC)
    MLEC offers a number of incentive programs based on eligibility and tailored to the specific needs of their customers including:
    • Reduction in manufacturer's sales tax or bill credit
    • Enhanced growth credit or enhanced security deposit
    • Rate discount for those willing to be listed as interruptible
