The Register of Deeds is a constitutional office established by the Tennessee State legislature as the custodian of legal documents pertaining to real property.  These documents include Warranty Deeds, Deeds of Trust, Releases, Powers of Attorney, Liens, Plats, Amendments, Military Discharges and other miscellaneous documents designated by state law to be recorded by the Register of Deeds.  All documents are recorded and stored in several safe sites and are available to the public in the Register’s Office or through the “titlesearcher.com” web site on a subscription basis.

The responsibility that the legislature has given the Register is very important, as many citizens will invest in real property at some point in their lives.  Many times, it will be the largest investment these citizens will ever make.  Therefore, the integrity of these records is extremely important.  Our office strives to use the latest in available technology to provide dependable, courteous and expeditious service to the taxpayers of Humphreys County.  Please contact us if we may be of service to you.
